What do I need to do when I buy or sell a vehicle?
Buying
If you have recently purchased a vehicle, you will need to add both your temporary and permanent plates (when received) to your account. Temporary license plates use different number and character formats than permanent plates, so be sure to add your temporary plate when you get your vehicle and remove it once your permanent plate is mounted and added to your account.
You can transfer FasTrak Flex® transponders to your new vehicle. If you prefer a sticker transponder, please request new ones by logging into your account at TheTollRoads.com. Sticker transponders cannot be moved from vehicle to vehicle.
Selling
If you have sold a vehicle, update your account to remove the vehicle’s license plate. In addition, you must remove and deactivate transponders from the vehicle they no longer own. To deactivate a transponder, log into your account, select the transponder and deactivate it to ensure tolls are no longer charged to your account.
Tip: If you have multiple transponders on your account, to make identifying transponders easier, we recommend giving each one a unique name by logging into your account online.
